VeriFone signs managed payment services contract with Glob Taxi Poland for 500 vehicles

Telecom Lead Europe: VeriFone Systems has signed a managed payment services contract with Glob Taxi Company of Warsaw, Poland.

Glob Taxi will benefit from VeriFone’s in-taxi payment systems that enable passengers of approximately 500 vehicles to pay with credit and debit cards, contactless and NFC mobile wallets, as well as fleet cards and electronic vouchers provided by VeriFone.

“With VeriFone systems and services, Glob Taxi is able to offer passengers the most complete and convenient payment options available,” said Leszek Pajka, Glob Taxi General Director.

With this latest addition to its customer portfolio, VeriFone now provides taxi systems and services to 70,000 vehicles in 17 countries, including Australia, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States.

VeriFone is providing advanced payment acceptance system, which is NFC-enabled for contactless card and mobile device payments and includes an intuitive color touch screen for ease of operation. VeriFone’s managed services solution provides fleet operators and individual drivers continuous access to taxi data and efficient electronic transaction management and monitoring.
