Towers Watson selects Dell Services for data center transformation

 

Dell Services announced that it has signed a new
five-year contract with Towers Watson for comprehensive IT services and
solutions.

 

Under this agreement, Dell Services will provide a full
range of transformation and infrastructure services to support Towers Watson’s
data center operations which house their corporate business systems.

 

Dell Services will provide
Towers Watson with a next-generation compute platform, designed to provide
optimized resiliency, efficiency and security to support their business’
growth.

 

The solution for Towers Watson includes a Dell-designed
reference architecture that will support the compute, storage, and backup
requirements of Towers Watson. Execute a transformation/transition to
consolidate nine Towers Watson existing datacenters into two highly resilient
compute environments and provide ongoing managed services operating the new
compute platform.

 

This innovative solution efficiently provides high
availability, flexibility and scalability supporting Towers Watson’s current
and future business needs.

 

Additionally, Dell’s storage and server support services
will enable Towers Watson to reduce its current
operating expenses, allowing better utilization of financial resources.
