Thai mobile operator Real Move selects Comptel OSS for 3G services

By Telecom Lead Team: Comptel Corporation, a provider of
dynamic Operations Support System (OSS) software, announced that Thai mobile
operator Real Move has selected Comptel Fulfillment to meet its provisioning
and activation needs.

A new subsidiary of True Corporation, Real Move required
a proven, future-proof solution to help it efficiently roll out and fulfill the
market’s demand for 3G services.

True Corporation is a Thai communications conglomerate
that operates fixed-line, cable television, wireless, broadband and IPTV
services, among others. It launched subsidiary Real Move in July 2011; the new
mobile operator had about 50,000 subscribers just one week after its commercial
service launch.

Comptel Fulfillment enables operators to automate the
process of handling subscriber orders to activating services in the network all
the way up to the start of billing. The solution helps operators control costs,
reduce manual errors and deliver services to subscribers without delay, thus
increasing customer satisfaction and reducing churn.

Comptel is pleased that True Corporation has selected
our solution for Real Move as it focuses on gaining market share in the 3G
market in Thailand. We look forward to working more closely with the company
and its subsidiaries, and helping them meet the demands of future services and
achieve their business goals,” said Mika Korpinen, senior vice president, Asia
Pacific, Comptel.

Recently,
Comptel announced that Bangladeshi mobile operator Robi Axiata has
selected Comptel Provisioning & Activation and Comptel Catalog.

The operator will replace its existing postpaid, prepaid
and VAS provisioning systems with Comptel’s solutions, which will help the
operator improve time-to-market and ensure low service-deployment error rates.
