Terremark, EMC join forces for Cloud Computing

Telecom Lead India: Terremark, a Verizon Company, and EMC
have started a strategic initiative.

Under this initiative, both companies will work to identify,
build and offer tailored, cloud-based solutions built on Terremark’s global
service capabilities and EMC’s cloud-optimized information infrastructure
technologies.

EMC, Verizon and Terremark have been working in the market
for nearly a decade. This announcement symbolizes the dramatic customer value
that can be derived through joint collaboration and will help customers
transform their business operations and ultimately deliver IT as a service,”
said Bill Scannell, executive VP Americas and Europe, Middle East and Africa
(EMEA) EMC Corporation.

Through this strategic initiative, EMC will provide the
advanced technology infrastructure for Terremark’s Enterprise Cloud Private
Edition offering as well as public and hybrid deployments.

In addition, both companies will expand the range of options
for IT organizations seeking to improve business agility, gain greater
efficiency, and control costs as they accelerate their journey to cloud
computing.

This initiative will use common channels through Terremark
and EMC to bring to market a range of cloud-based options for IT organizations.

Terremark has also achieved Platinum-level in the EMC
Velocity Service Provider Partner Program.

The Velocity Service Provider Partner Program provides
partner management resources and methodologies as well as sales tools and
marketing campaign assets to help service providers more quickly and
efficiently deploy differentiated cloud offerings built on EMC technology.

EMC enterprise-class Cloud storage offers 30% cut in costs to
service providers

EMC launched VMAX SP that offers enterprise-class storage to
service providers.

Service providers can buy VMAX SP, a pre-packaged
enterprise-class storage enabling them to deploy new cloud services in four
hours.
