Tejas Networks Packet Optical product wins ET Innovative Telecom Equipment Award

Tejas Networks has won the Economic Times (ET) Innovative Product Award 2011 for its Packet Optical Transport (POTP) product, TJ1600 felicitate the innovators of the telecom industry. The Innovative Product award recognizes products that have resulted in increased customer base, increase in revenue or profitability and changed market dynamics in telecom. This award was given by the Minister of State for Telecom & IT, Government of India, Sachin Pilot at an event in Mumbai.

In India, leading operators like Airtel, Aircel and other leading 3G operators have installed TJ1600 successfully, addressing over 250 million subscribers,” said Sanjay Nayak, CEO & MD of Tejas Networks.

Tejas POTP portfolio enables service providers to seamlessly transition 2G/2.5G networks serving all-voice traffic to 3G/4G networks serving predominantly data traffic at their own pace.
