Sterlite Tech appoints Amdocs veteran Anshoo Gaur as advisor

SterliteSterlite Technologies announced the appointment of Amdocs veteran Anshoo Gaur as strategic advisor for its telecom software business.

Sterlite Tech’s software division provides BSS, packet-core and carrier Wi-Fi solutions to address telecom operator’s need for faster time-to-market and reduction in total cost of ownership and monetisation across all IP networks.

The telecom division of Sterlite Technologies has completed 175 network deployments for 59 service providers in more than 40 countries. Sterlite Technologies is serving 13 of the world’s top 30 telecom operators.

Anshoo Gaur is working as CEO and founder of Praavega Systems. At Amdocs India, Anshoo Gaur was the president and MD. Anshoo Gaur has also held leadership roles at EDS/MphasiS and Sabre Inc.

At Sterlite Tech, Anshoo Gaur will work with the software leadership team to define the next phase of value creation.

Anshoo’s strategic guidance will enable us to leverage these opportunities and position us to offer integrated offerings to leading telecoms,” said Nikhil Jain, head – Telecom Software, Sterlite Tech.

Anshoo Gaur holds a Master of Science in Systems and Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona, USA and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Karnataka.
