RAD Data Communications appoints Dror Bin as president and CEO

Telecom Lead Middle East: RAD Data Communications has
appointed Dror Bin as the company’s president and CEO.


He succeeds Efraim (Effi) Wachtel, who has retired after
15 years in that position.


Yehuda Zisapel, RAD Chairman and President of The RAD
Group, said Dror has a broad understanding of what drives success in the global
telecoms market, based on his many years of experience as a senior executive in
the industry.


Bin said during his transition period, he has met a team
of professional and committed employees. As a company, RAD has the innovation,
vision, and market strengths required to grow and prosper this year and in the
years to come.
 


Before joining RAD, Bin worked with Carmel Ventures as a venture partner.


Prior to that he had served for over nine years at
Comverse Technology in a series of positions, including president of Global
Sales, president of the Products Group, and other key roles such as vice
president and general manager of the company’s Messaging line, general manager
of the SMS division, and vice president of Marketing for Comverse Voicemail and
Call Completion.


Prior to Comverse, Bin was a partner at Shaldor, a top
management consulting firm, working with carriers and telecom equipment
vendors, among others.
 


RAD Data Communications’ installed base exceeds 12,000,000 units and includes
more than 150 carriers and operators around the world, including AT&T,
China Mobile, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom/Orange, Hutchison, KDDI, Telekom
Austria, TeliaSonera, Telstra, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Vodafone.
