Panasonic offers integrated telephony solution for healthcare facilities

Panasonic
System Networks Company of America announced partnership with communication
applications company Poltys.

“The
healthcare market is a consistently growing segment in the U.S. economy and
this application, combined with Panasonic’s leading DECT solution, offers true
value for an expanding industry,” said Bill Savino, marketing manager for
business communication solutions at Panasonic System Networks Company of
America.

Designed
for assisted and independent living facilities, skilled nursing facilities and
hospices, Direct Care Connect provides nurses, doctors and caregivers with
faster response times to their patients’ needs through a robust
telecommunications system.

Poltys
Direct Care Connect and Nurse Call applications seamlessly integrate with the
hub of Panasonic’s KX-TDE and NCP series of IP-enabled business telephone
systems to provide real-time alarms and notifications to caregivers as soon as
patients require assistance. This integrated solution allows for increased
employee productivity, better customer care and reduced hardware costs.

When
patients trigger an alert through their nurse call system and the Panasonic
telephone system, a notification is sent to a caregiver’s handset displaying
the patient’s name or ID, information such as a room number, and even a preset
priority level.

“We
are confident that Poltys Direct Care Connect integrated with Panasonic
communication devices represents a powerful solution for the healthcare market,
providing a higher level of patient care outcomes, increased medical staff
efficiency and workflow optimization,” said Christian Lup, director
business development, Poltys.
