Meru Networks to strengthen education, hospitality and entertainment markets

Telecom Lead America: Meru Networks has promoted two new
general managers to guide market strategy and adoption in the K-12, Higher
Education, and Hospitality and Entertainment markets.


The company has also appointed a new vice president of
Vertical and Product Marketing.


The appointments are aimed at strengthening its sales,
marketing and product development focusing on target vertical markets.


Sarosh Vesuna will be general manager of Education.
Vesuna has been with Meru for four years, most recently serving as the Vice President
of Business Development. Vesuna has industry expertise in voice over IP,
location systems, mobility management, and network security.


Kamal Anand will be general manager of Hospitality and
Entertainment. Prior to this new role, Anand was senior vice president of
Product Management where he was responsible for the leading the company’s
product strategy. Anand has brought to Meru a breadth of experience, including
product management, marketing, sales, and developing and managing corporate
initiatives including strategic relationships and mergers and acquisitions.


Manish Rai, previously head of industry solution
marketing at Aruba Networks, will join as vice president of Vertical and
Product Marketing.


Rai brings over 14 years of experience in global
enterprise wireless networking and software marketing, with a proven record in
growing revenues and market share for both start-ups and public corporations.
He brings to Meru deep expertise in executing high growth go-to-market
strategies within multiple industries.
