Kevin T. Biggs resigns from Blue Coat Systems

Blue Coat Systems, a provider of Web security and WAN
optimization solutions, announced that Kevin T. Biggs has left his position as
senior vice president of worldwide field operations.

During the transition, Carol G. Mills, interim CEO for
Blue Coat, will be the acting worldwide sales leader and will focus on aligning
the sales organization to drive growth in the Web security and WAN optimization
markets.

The sales vice presidents heading Blue Coat’s Americas,
EMEA and Asia Pacific regions will report directly to Mills.

Despite the challenges of last quarter, I believe Blue
Coat has made the right strategic decisions as a company and is making the
right investments to align our solutions with market requirements,” said Mills.

For Blue Coat,
execution is critical, and our senior sales team has the leadership
skills to drive focused execution of our go-to-market strategy across their
regions,” Mills added.

Blue Coat also announced that it has named Greg Clark as
chief executive officer and president, starting in mid-September. Clark has
more than 23 years of experience and brings a unique combination of technical
depth, market insight and operational skills to Blue Coat.
