Inmarsat Government announces new president and CEO

Telecom Lead America: Inmarsat Government, a provider of
mission-critical telecommunications to the U.S. public sector, has named David
Helfgott as its president and chief executive officer.


Helfgott will be responsible for the overall business
strategy and direction for Inmarsat Government.


Helfgott has over 20 years of senior executive leadership
experience across a number of technology and service sectors.


Helfgott joined Inmarsat in April 2011 as president of
Inmarsat and senior vice president of business development and strategy for the
parent company, Inmarsat. In this position, he was responsible for development
functions across the Group including strategic planning, M&A, new market
development, technology strategy and government-policy outreach.


Prior to joining Inmarsat, Helfgott held leadership
positions in the satellite communications and intelligence, surveillance,
reconnaissance (ISR) technology market, including Cobham, where he served as
president of the wireless ISR technology business unit; DataPath, where he was
president and CEO; and SES Americom Government Services, where he held the
position of president and CEO.
