Telecom Lead America: Chinese
Telecom equipment maker Huawei has demonstrated its next generation
telepresence solution at the recently held Interop Spring 2012.
“Huawei will continue to meet high-end client demands
to deliver more realistic live videoconferencing experiences, as well as to
develop products to help clients increase efficiency and competitiveness,” said
Yiquan Chen, president, UC&C Product Line, Huawei Enterprise Business
Group.
The demonstrated solution features the first tri-camera,
tri-screen full-view technology for 5760*1080p panoramic display to
provide users with the most immersive viewing experience possible.
The solution is planned to ship in the fourth quarter of
2012.
The company said that its full-view telepresence solution
employs stringent environmental standards in order to help clients reduce
carbon emissions and lower operating costs.
Furthermore, overall power consumption is 30 percent lower
than the industry standard for a similar solution, which also reduces noise
levels within the conference room.
Huawei claims that its full-view telepresence solution
leads the industry with an advanced table design that provides front
access for easy maintenance.
As of December 2011, global shipments of Huawei’s
telepresence solution surpassed 2,100 sets. Currently, Huawei telepresence
solutions are being used by 45 governments, over 100 CXOs and 13 major
operators.
