Huawei, a global information and communications
technology (ICT) solutions provider, highlighted its vision of a Giga World at
4G World 2011 in Chicago.
“As part of Huawei’s vision for building a Giga
World, the company recently introduced its GigaSite and SingleSON
solutions,” said Mohamed Madkour, head of Wireless Product Line Marketing
for Huawei USA.
“SingleSON and GigaSite, thanks to our cooperation
with customers and continued investment in research and development, are our
first two building solutions to achieve operators’ needs in the mobile
broadband’s Giga World where just connectivity is not enough,” Madkour
added.
Huawei’s GigaSite solution enables operators to
improve network capacity and meet the challenges of advancing in a mobile
industry where traffic is now measured in gigabytes. Based on Huawei’s widely
deployed SingleRAN, GigaSite supports the convergence of all wireless technologies
on a multi-band and multi-sector solution to effectively increase total
capacity and decrease cost. Additionally, GigaSite provides integrated backhaul
aggregation for the small cells via wired and non-line-of-site wireless
backhaul.
Huawei’s SingleSON solution is capable of
automatically managing multi-mode and multi-layer networks to improve O&M
efficiency, guarantee end user’s experience via multi-layer synergy and ensure
smooth evolution to future technologies.
The SingleSON solution is compatible with
future-oriented technologies and is capable of evolving to serve the future
multi-mode heterogeneous network which is composed of macro and micro base
stations.
