Harris Corp appoints new VP of Corporate Strategy and Business Development

Telecom Lead Asia: Harris Corporation, a communications
and information technology, has appointed Gregory Taylor as vice president of
Corporate Strategy and Business Development, a new position within the company.

 

Taylor is a veteran business and technology strategist
and will be reporting directly to Harris President and CEO Bill Brown.

 

In this new position, Taylor will be working towards
helping set the company’s overall strategic direction and  aligning
investments to achieve strategic objectives.

 

Greg’s breadth of business and strategic experience will
be a tremendous asset as we strive to build on our long track record of
success. In this new position, he will play a key role in establishing and
aligning our overall strategic direction, investments and new market
development for the future,” said Brown.

 

With over years of experience in strategic planning,
business development and general management, Taylor will also be leading
Harris’ business development including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and
new market development.

 

Prior to Harris, Taylor served United Technologies
Corporation (UTC) where he held several senior leadership roles since joining
the company in 2004.

 

Most recently he served as vice president, Sales,
Marketing, Strategy and Business Development for UTC Automation & Controls
Solutions.

 

Before joining UTC, Taylor served Investor Growth
Capital, George Group, Bain and Company and General Electric Astrospace, which
now is part of Lockheed Martin Corporation.

 

Harris Corp appoints new VP of Government Relations

A few days back, Harris Corporation appointed Tania Hanna
as vice president of Government Relations of the company.

 

Hanna will be looking after Harris’ relations with the
U.S. Congress, the Executive Branch, defense and aerospace industry representatives
located in the Washington, D.C. area, as well as international government
agencies.
