EXFO has unveiled its NetBlazer v2 series, a portable 10G Quad-port test solution for testing DSn/PDH, OTN, SONET/SDH and Ethernet packet-based services up to 10G rates.
The company said NetBlazer v2 series brings intelligent applications and more intuitive processes for testing. It allows Fiber-to-the-Antenna (FTTA) validation for CPRI rates from 1.2 Gbit/s to 9.8 Gbit/s via base station (BBU) and remote radio head (RRH) emulation.
EXFO said the NetBlazer v2 will assist telecom service providers to turn-up Carrier Ethernet services faster, reduce network deployment costs and ensure quality of service to customers.
NetBlazer v2 is available in 4 models. The NetBlazer v2 series includes iSAM, EXFO’s new intelligent Ethernet service activation test application that streamlines and significantly accelerates Ethernet testing compared to its competing standards-based tests. Other new features on the NetBlazer v2 series include: RFC- 6349 and Quad-port GigE and 10 GigE.
The other features of NetBlazer v2 series include multi-touch display and Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro operating system. It offers connectivity via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Gigabit Ethernet.
Meanwhile, EXFO is introducing the FTB-720C Access OTDR as the first optical module compatible with the new FTB-1 Pro platform. EXFO said FTB-720C features three test wavelengths and up to 36 dB in dynamic range – targeting for everyday field testing in any single mode access network.
“The NetBlazer v2 series improves the performance of field teams by making their jobs simpler to close with more accurate, first-time-right results,” said Claudio Mazzuca, vice president of EXFO’s Transport and Service Assurance Division.
