EXFO acquires mobile network analytics vendor Aito

EXFO has acquired Aito Technologies, the Espoo, Finland-based provider of customer experience analytics software for mobile network operators.

The acquisition will allow EXFO to combine Aito’s capabilities with EXFO’s suite of instruments, systems and wireless PowerHawk Pro analyzers in order to offer contextually relevant analytics and insight to improve customer experience, enhance network performance and drive operational efficiencies.

EXFO did not share financial details of the acquisition.

Aito Technologies has already supplied its software suite to nearly 10 telecom operators, enabling them to obtain actionable information to manage customer experience over their 3G and 4G/LTE networks, said EXFO in a statement.

Aito Technologies’ customer experience analytics software is designed to unifiy business, network, product and customer data for real-time analysis for a range of users and decision-makers within a wireless operator organization.

In addition, Aito Technologies’ analytics software allows network engineers to analyze data gathered from multiple sources, including end-user and data-plane information from passive probes like EXFO’s dual 10G line-rate capture PowerHawk Pro.

Moreover, analyzed data is cross-correlated with information from CRM databases, network elements and operations support systems in order to provide MNOs visibility into the experience of mobile subscribers.
