Ensenta and Mitek Systems tie up for mobile deposit solution

Ensenta, a provider of self-service
remote deposit capture and risk management, announced that it has tied up with
Mitek Systems, a provider of mobile-imaging applications using smartphone
cameras for check deposits, bill payments and ACH enrollments, to bring mobile
remote deposit solution to banks and credit unions.

The solution combines Ensenta’s
Agile Risk Management engine with Mitek Systems‘ Mobile
Deposit, which has become the Gold Standard in enabling check deposits via
camera-equipped mobile devices.

Agile Risk Management enables
financial institutions to mitigate risk in real time across all points of
deposit capture. Granular control of risk is facilitated through 100-plus
configurable risk filters, and the optimal combination of human and automated
review.

The application of risk-management
business rules at the instant of capture brings true Day Zero risk mitigation
capability to financial institutions.

“Our partnering with Mitek
Systems enables us to offer our credit union and bank customers a robust mobile
remote deposit capture solution with outstanding breadth and depth,” said
Ed Viera, chief executive officer, Ensenta.

“Mitek’s pre-eminence adds an
excellent mobile channel to our existing broad set of ATM, kiosk, merchant,
consumer and branch capture solutions. It also enhances our deep,
risk-mitigation capability that enables financial institutions to implement
enterprise risk-management strategies, including all points of deposit
entry,” Viera added.

“The combination of
best-of-breed capabilities from Ensenta and Mitek brings a unique quadruple
play to the marketplace – security, scalability, accuracy and ease of
use,” said James B. DeBello president and CEO, Mitek Systems.
