CSG to supply billing and mediation solution for Inmarsat Global Xpress service

CSG International last week said it would supply billing and mediation solution to Inmarsat to support the new Inmarsat Global Xpress service.

As per the deal, CSG will supply CSG Singleview, its convergent billing platform, and CSG Intermediate, an offline and online network mediation platform.

Global Xpress, a broadband satellite network for mobile and fixed consumers, is designed to enable coverage from a single operator and to support up to 50Mbps speed.

Leo Mondale, managing director, Growth Management and Support at Inmarsat, said: “Our success requires robust revenue management and billing solutions that enable us to take the complexity out of global high-speed connectivity and allow us to support the growing needs of our partners and customers.”

The CSG billing solution will support pre-paid, post-paid, and hybrid billing across all Global Xpress applications and content services.

The company said the CSG solution will create sophisticated models to manage wholesale channel and reseller billing partners; it will also deliver the next-generation solutions necessary to meet the complex retail billing needs of direct subscribers.
