Coyote Point Systems, a provider of application delivery
and acceleration solutions, announced the launch of the new EQ/OS 10 software
platform.
EQ/OS 10 is an enterprise-class application delivery
architecture that leverages advances in networking and processor technologies
to provide a scalable and maintainable foundation for future generations of
Coyote Point products.
The EQ/OS 10 platform provides a unifying technology
platform that delivers comprehensive features and capabilities to solve
application and network challenges. The new OS showcases significant
improvements in connectivity, speed, availability, security and management.
Release candidates are now available on the new EQ/OS 10
architecture for the GX line of Equalizer of Application Delivery Controllers
(ADCs), Equalizer OnDemand Virtual ADC and Envoy Global Server Load Balancer
(GSLB).
“The networks that deliver applications are becoming
increasingly more complex,” said Bill Kish, Alpha Coyote and CTO, Coyote Point.
“Businesses require higher levels of security, more
efficient processing, acceleration technologies and the guarantee of 100
percent application availability. EQ/OS 10 was designed not only to meet those
requirements but to create the foundation for future innovations in application
delivery and acceleration,” Kish added.
EQ/OS 10 offers a comprehensive multi-level application
availability approach allowing network administrators to eliminate single
points of failure and deliver maximum performance.
This includes advanced cluster level application
availability probing, improved redundant fault tolerant configurations,
multi-data center redundancy with Global Server Load Balancing and redirects to
internal or external redirect resources.
EQ/OS 10 has a broader networking feature set that
provides more administrative flexibility. Features like full IPv6 support and
advanced VLAN configuration options make it even easier to fit Coyote Point
solutions into existing networks.
The new OS has been specifically tuned and optimized to
serve specific application content. Enhanced offloading capabilities increase
the efficiency of communication within the application delivery environment
that contributes to dramatic increases in application performance.
The EQ/OS platform architecture is security hardened to
help thwart attacks, while enhanced management access offers visibility and
control of application delivery. The secure transaction offloading and
processing engine now offers simplified management and higher performance.
EQ/OS 10 is optimized to provide efficient processing of
SSL keys, including 2048-bit keys now being utilized for enhanced security.
The new comprehensive tool kit allows customers to choose
between a GUI and CLI management interface. Interactive on-screen objects and
detailed graphical reporting simplifies the installation and management of
Equalizer ADC products.
