Comverse appoints Narasimha Gani Nayak as senior vice president, Systems & Solutions

Telecom Lead America: BSS provider Comverse has appointed Narasimha Gani Nayak as senior vice president, Systems & Solutions.

For the past six years he has served at Alcatel-Lucent in roles including SVP and general manager, Mobile Payment and Charging Solutions, SVP & GM, Interactive Media and Communications division, and VP & GM, Messaging Products Group.

Prior to that, he was VP & GM at Openwave Systems’ Messaging Business Unit.

Before that, he led the Unified Communications activities at Logica/CMG.

He also worked with Cisco Systems, ECI Telecom, and Hughes Network Systems.

Nayak will be responsible for all Comverse product marketing, delivery and maintenance.

Nayak has experience in payment, billing, messaging and value-added services solutions for mobile network operators.

“He has a deep understanding of the mobile software and equipment space through various General Manager, product management, marketing, engineering and R&D leadership roles throughout his career,” said Philippe Tartavull, president and chief executive officer, Comverse.

Gani has a strong track record for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of business operations and driving financial performance and customer satisfaction.
