CommerceTel closes acquisition of BoomText


CommerceTel, a provider of mobile marketing technologies
and solutions, announced that it has closed the acquisition of BoomText from
DigiMark. This marks CommerceTel’s third acquisition of the year.


BoomText has pioneered the delivery of mobile marketing
solutions and services to more than a thousand customers since being founded in
2008. The Company’s rapid growth has been fueled by a strict focus on
world-class service and support.

acquisition of the year. The addition of BoomText has grown CommerceTel’s
customer reach to more than 1,500 brands and enterprises while expecting
accretive financial performance to the Company,” said Dennis Becker, CEO
of CommerceTel.


While BoomText has traditionally delivered SMS
text-messaging solutions to its customer base, the acquisition by CommerceTel
opens up additional technologies and services to BoomText customers.


MMS Messaging, Interactive Voice Response, and CRM
solutions are now afforded to BoomText’s customers by way of CommerceTel’s
technology. In addition, BoomText now has access to CommerceTel’s growing
patent portfolio relating to mobile technologies.
