ChinaCache in pact with Hutchison to tap Content Delivery Network services market in Asia

Telecom Lead Asia: ChinaCache International, a provider
of Internet content and application delivery services in China, has tied up
with Hutchison Global Communications to provide Content Delivery Network (CDN)
services in Asian markets.

The two companies will tap markets of mainland China,
Hong Kong, and other regions in South East Asia.

Song Wang, founder, chairman and CEO of ChinaCache, said
HGC has an extensive global footprint and a strong presence in Hong Kong, South
East Asia and the Americas. ChinaCache will bring its expertise in CDN together
with HGC’s experience in managing global network and data centers to provide
quality services to more customers in Asia.

ChinaCache will set up CDN and Cloud nodes at HGC’s data
centers with facilities, including hardware, software and cabinets, provided by
HGC.

CDN is an internet-based content and applications
distribution network, which seeks to enhance end user experience by
accelerating and stabilizing webpage views, file downloading, online
transactions, video streaming, and instant messaging, among others.

Andrew Kwok, president of International Business at HGC,
said the MOU has underscored ChinaCache and HGC’s concerted effort to bring the
best and the widest range of telecom products and services to customers.
ChinaCache’s CDN services will help enhance HGC’s service portfolio and its
capabilities to access mainland China’s Internet contents in terms of volume,
speed and readiness for customers in Hong Kong and overseas.
