CES 2012: D-Link offers Cloud services to home networking and unveils sub-$50 Cloud router

covering multiple product lines. D-Link also introduced sub-$50 Wi-Fi router
with advanced cloud services.


D-Link’s new Cloud Services provide remote sharing and
management capabilities through its mydlink portal and mydlink apps for iPhone,
iPad and Android devices.


“D-Link’s new Cloud Services ensure your home
network is in the palm of your hand, wherever you are. We’ve built a
significant cloud platform offering real-time access to a range of products and
features from anywhere you can get an Internet signal via the mydlink portal
and apps. From remotely watching a live video feed of your pet via a pan/tilt
cloud camera, to monitoring what’s going on with your home network, to accessing
a movie from a USB thumb drive plugged into the back of a router, we are
committed to delivering more power and convenience to consumers than ever
before,” said Daniel Kelley, associate vice president of marketing, D-Link
North America.


D-Link’s Cloud Services and products feature remote
convenience and ease-of-use, giving consumers access via mydlink.com to a networking
devices and capabilities in simple taps or clicks. It allows users to share a
home network with friends, family and co-workers via a personal D-Link cloud,
share and access content across devices with an easy-to-use app, and remotely
control a home network from determining network users, to how and when the
network is used, to e-mail alerts that warn against intrusion
attempts. 


The Cloud Router (DIR-605L) brings cloud capabilities to
the masses, allowing users to utilize the mydlink Cloud Services portal and
mobile apps to see what websites are being visited in a home network and set
alerts for network intrusions from anywhere in the world. The Cloud Router
offers speeds of up to 300 Mbps and four Fast Ethernet ports for expanded
connectivity.


Over the next year, D-Link will continue to expand its
Cloud Services, including solutions for remote storing and sharing of personal
content.
