CA Technologies opens Center of Competency in BIT Coimbatore

CA Technologies India announced the inauguration of its firstCenter of Competencyin collaboration with Gemini Communication at the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT), Coimbatore.

The Center of Competency, with its hardware and software, will offer placement focused certificate courses in Infrastructure Management and Performance Management solutions, with exposure to the industry trends.

The Center will be housed at the BIT, an autonomous
institution affiliated to the prestigious Anna University of Technology under
the University Grants Commission (UGC) New Delhi. To begin with, it will offer
advanced courses in CA Spectrum Infrastructure Management (Network & System
Fault Management) and CA eHealth Performance Management (Network Performance
Management).

The current education system puts more emphasis on the theoretical knowledge than practical. Hence, students often face challenges in getting accustomed to the pace
and needs of the real world industry.

To help create this synergy companies today firmly believe that innovation is central to a company’s strategy and performance hence students need to think and invent ideas.

This gives rise to the need for a system which promises to be a guiding factor for students who are striving for professional excellence. The Center of Competency will provide
a plethora of opportunities for students to hone their skills and hence transform them into well trained professionals for the future.

The idea behind the Center of Competency is to bridge the gap of learning by equipping students with real life experience through exposure to latest technology and hands-on-training.

The Center will also provide these students a platform to
interact with industry experts and benefit through various knowledge sharing
initiatives.

We aim to create a talent pool of experienced graduates who can add value to the growth of the industry,” Amit Chatterjee, managing director, Sales, CA Technologies.

The students benefit by staying on top of the industry developments through the module of the courses and receive industry recognized certification. They are also invited to CA sponsored industry events for knowledge sharing and networking with industry, and a chance to present white
papers at CA sponsored events.

We treat this as our opportunity to offer our expertise to bridge the gap that exists between educational institutions and the industry. We would prepare the students to present themselves as domain experts in the area of IT Infrastructure Management. The management of the institute should be lauded for their effort and intent to offer high quality education, said R Ram Kumar, chairman, Gemini Communication.

CA Technologies recently acquired  privately-held Torokina Networks, a provider of
service assurance management solutions to 3G, 4G and LTE communications service
providers worldwide.
