BroadSoft said American wireless carrier Verizon has tapped BroadWorks Telephony Application Server (TAS) to offer business communication services its fixed and mobile users.
BroadWorks solution, which is capable of enabling Unified Communications for both wireless and wireline solutions, will be utilized by Verizon to integrate with a customer’s desktop and mobile devices to enable better customer experience on Verizon’s network infrastructure.
“Businesses continue to demand simple, easy to use communication services that work seamlessly across fixed and mobile devices,” said Mike Lanman, senior vice president of Enterprise and Product Marketing at Verizon.
Michael Tessler, president and chief executive officer, BroadSoft, said that BroadWorks will provide Unified Communication services of voice, web collaboration, audio and video conferencing and instant messaging and presence (IM&P) to Verizon customers.
