Boingo provides Wi-Fi service at Raleigh-Durham Airport

Telecom Lead America: Boingo Wireless, a provider of
software and services for Wi- Fi industry, is managing and operating tiered
Wi-Fi services throughout Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).

 

The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority selected Boingo to
provide flexible Wi-Fi offerings to its travelers.

 

Duane Legan, acting deputy airport director for information
services at RDU said that Boingo enables RDU to provide flexible Wi-Fi
offerings to travelers, while managing the influx of network traffic to ensure
fast, reliable Internet connections for all guests.

 

Boingo’s hybrid network approach includes tiered Wi-Fi
services will let Raleigh-Durham meet the diverse needs of its domestic and
international travelers.

 

Zack Sterngold, vice president of airport business
development for Boingo Wireless said the company looks forward to extend its
services to RDU, and to help the airport generate the revenue necessary for
continued growth and amenity enhancements.

 

Boingo’s tiered services include a complimentary Wi-Fi
service option for casual users looking to surf the Internet, check their email
and update their social media profiles.

 

The company will also offer premium Wi-Fi services to
business travelers and power users. The premium service will help them engage
in data intensive activities such as accessing corporate VPNs, downloading
large files and streaming high definition video.

 

Casual travelers can use Boingo’s complimentary services
for free 45-minute Wi-Fi sessions after watching a brief advertisement.

 

Boingo’s premium services are available via any of
Boingo’s Wi-Fi plans, including Boingo Unlimited, which offers unlimited Wi-Fi
access at all Boingo hotspots in the Americas for $9.95 per month. Hourly and
day passes will also be available for purchase.

 

Boingo’s roaming and platform service partners will also have
access to the premium Wi-Fi services at RDU.

 

Boingo Wireless introduces Wi-Fi services at Phuket Airport

 

Recently, Boingo Wireless has launched its managed Wi-Fi
services at Phuket International Airport.

 

Boingo’s portfolio of managed airport Wi-Fi locations
includes more than 60 leading airports worldwide.
