ASCOM Network Testing supports Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone

ASCOM Network Testing, a global provider of test solutions, announced that its network test and optimization product TEMS Investigation supports the Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S6 during Mobile World Congress 2015. A European Tier 1 telecom operator has already verified the latest smartphone from Samsung.

The Switzerland headquartered Ascom Network Testing said the new Galaxy S6 device offers LTE Cat 6 testing capabilities (300/50 Mbit/s) and additional LTE and Carrier Aggregation features in TEMS Investigation, such as the ability to analyze LTE cell traffic scheduling and load, allowing users to pinpoint where potential bottlenecks reside in the network.

Erik Tarnvik, CTO of Ascom Network Testing, said: “We participated in the first commercial Carrier Aggregation deployments, working with the first infrastructure vendor to bring the technology to market, and continue our commitment to quickly bring to market solutions to support LTE Advanced and other evolving technologies as they become a reality.”

The company will be supporting several models of the S6 and S6 Edge in the near future, including support for advanced features such as Voice over LTE.
