Aptilo Networks on Tuesday said it signed Wi-Fi offloading deal with Chunghwa Telecom and FarEasTone – service providers in Taiwan.

To offer mobile data offloading solutions, Aptilo Networks has tied up with telecommunications systems integrator ELTA Technology.

Chunghwa Telecom and FarEasTone, two of Taiwan’s tier 1 service providers, are using the Aptilo Service Management Platform (SMP) with Aptilo Wi-Fi Offloading solution and SIM Authentication Server.

Aptilo claims that its platform Aptilo SIM Authentication Server securely and automatically connects subscribers to the Wi-Fi network, for a seamless login and exceptional Wi-Fi offloading experience. It currently works with several global telecoms.

For Chunghwa Telecom, Wi-Fi is one of the important revenue generating businesses as the mobile data market in Taiwan is on a significant growth path.

“Wi-Fi offloading helps mobile operators create a great user experience for customers, and allows them to increase network capacity quickly via a network that’s less costly to build and operate,” said Jan Sjonell, managing director APAC, Aptilo Networks.
