Aptilo Networks names Paul Mikkelsen as CEO

Aptilo Networks, a telecom equipment vendor offering authentication, policy control and charging solutions and Wi-Fi service management, today announced the appointment of Paul Mikkelsen as chief executive officer.

Mikkelsen, who was the COO of Aptilo Networks, will succeed Torbjorn Ward, who passed away after battling with cancer. Mikkelsen is a member of the team that founded Aptilo in 2001.

Prior to Aptilo he was director of Business Development at Axis, where he was responsible for the European market for the Mobile Internet Division.

Before Axis, Mikkelsen spent 10+ years at Ericsson where he held executive positions in business and finance at the Stockholm headquarters and in Asia.

Aptilo Networks is a key player in the Wi-Fi service management and Wi-Fi offload in large-scale deployments with 100+ operators in more than 70 countries.
