Anritsu brings integrated test solution for signal quality analyzer

UL taps Anritsu ME7873LA platform for LTE-Advanced
Anritsu Company has revealed an integrated test solution for its Signal Quality Analyzer MP1800A BERT and G0361A 64Gbaud 2-bit D/A Converter (DAC) with Mux.

The solution capable of precise measurements of high-speed interconnects and backplanes under development will help meet the steadily increasing bandwidth demands of current and emerging networks.

The solution gives extremely clean eye diagrams at up to 128 Gbps per channel as outputs for 400 G applications.

Hence engineers can verify high-speed devices, modules and network systems, in compliance with industry standards, including 400 GbE and CEI-56G.

The G0361A can be interfaced with any MP1800A 28/32 Gbit/s multi-channel Pulse Pattern Generator (PPG) module.

It has a dual-channel 2×1 multiplexing function in the input section, capable of generating signals ranging from 32 Gbit/s x 4CH NRZ to 128G PAM4 (64Gbaud), supporting easy and low-cost expansion to 128G PAM4.

The MP1800A/G0361A is an industry first solution to support 128G PAM4 generation and BER tests with accurate jitter injection, allowing testing of every bit of a PAM4 signal for accurate analysis of next-generation 400 GbE interconnects and backplanes.

The pros for high-speed testing are provided by the MP1800A/G0361A solution, with best-in-class signal-to-noise ratio and a wide bandwidth allowing the solution to produce the cleanest eye diagrams in the industry.

The signal is error-free to ensure designs, and serial and parallel measurements can be conducted automatically to save test time and reduce cost-of-test.

Providing performance benefits, the MP1800A/G0361 solution has other advantages, like eliminating the complex setup and configuration issues associated with legacy systems, and cutting down capital equipment expenditures for lower cost-of-test.

The Signal Quality Analyzer MP1800A BERT sports a flexible platform with a built-in PPG for generation of the highest-quality, highest-amplitude signals in the industry, as well as an Error Detector (ED) module with the highest input sensitivity available.

Each MP1800A PPG or ED module can be 1-, 2-, or 4-channels to support multichannel synchronization for up to 8 channels at 32 Gbit/s. With the built-in ED, PAM4 power measurements can also be performed with the solution.
