Telecom Lead America: ADTRAN’s revenues grew 37 percent
sequentially for the Q2 FY12, with organic revenues up 20 percent, excluding
the recently acquired NSN BBA business.
ADTRAN has posted sales of $184 million for the Q2 FY12,
as compared to $184.23 million a year earlier.
The company’s net income stood at $21.07 million for the
Q2 FY12, against $36.94 million for the Q2 of 2011.
Gross profit recorded at $95.2 million for Q2 FY12, as
compared to $106.8 million a year earlier.
ADTRAN’s Broadband Access category grew 38 percent (8
percent organic) over the same period last year.
The company noted that its internetworking category grew
6 percent over the same period last year.
Total core products which include Broadband Access,
Optical and Internetworking, grew 17 percent over the same period last year and
now represent 84 percent of total revenues.
Our results for the second quarter reflect a tightening
spending environment. Decreasing visibility leaves us cautious for the
near term but we are confident that our strong customer alignment and
increasing global footprint will deliver long term growth for the company,”
said Tom Stanton, chief executive officer at ADTRAN.
ADTRAN completes acquisition of Nokia Siemens fixed line
broadband business
In March this year, ADTRAN completed the acquisition of
the Nokia Siemens Networks fixed line broadband access business.
ADTRAN’s products enable voice, data, video, and Internet
communications across a variety of network infrastructures.
ADTRAN solutions are currently in use by service
providers, private enterprises, government organizations, and millions of
individual users worldwide.
