The IAMAI promoted India Digital Awards will be presenting 33 awards for the
internet and mobile value added services industry.
This is the only comprehensive award for the digital industry in India
and we have had to scale it up this year given the variety of digital
businesses that have emerged in the last couple of years,” said Subho Ray,
president of IAMAI.
The India Digital Awards cover all aspects of Internet and mobile value added
services: from websites to digital payment, from e-commerce to search
marketing, and much else in between.
The IAMAI India Digital Awards was introduced last year with only nine
categories. However, building on the success of last year, the Awards this year
will have six main categories and total of 33 sub categories. IAMAI plans to
recognize only one winner per sub category.
The six main categories include digital advertising, website, mobile VAS,
digital payment, digital social and economic empowerment and special awards.
Special Awards include the Best Internet Person of the Year, Best Mobile Person
of the Year, and the Best Digital Start Up of the Year.
The awards have a two-tier jury process: tier 1 comprising of senior
professionals from the trade and tier 2 made up of eminent media persons,
industry veterans and academia, who will scrutinize all the nominations through
a stringent selection process. The India Digital Awards is envisaged as the only
award of the industry, by the industry and for the industry, and the task is
cut out for the judges to recognize and reward the best from the hundreds of
nominations received so far.
