Sidera Networks, a provider of fiber optic-based network
solutions, announced its chief technology officer (CTO), Lorin Dorco, will be
speaking at the COMPTEL PLUS
Fall
2011 Convention & EXPO, October 2-5, 2011, at the Gaylord Palms Hotel and
Convention Center in Orlando.
Lorin Dorco will be participating in the panel,
“Managing Network Growth: Meeting Demands and Expectations,” which
will focus on how to lower the cost of infrastructure investments and generate
new revenue.
The session is scheduled for October 4, 2011 at 11:00
a.m. EST in the Osceola Ballroom B. Dorco’s presentation focuses on how,
through strategic planning and provisioning, enterprises can benefit from a
customized network infrastructure.
As CTO of Sidera Networks,
Dorco is responsible for Sidera’s strategic technology plan and supporting the
development of next generation network products and services.
“I am thrilled to be participating in one of the
industry’s largest conferences, where I can share Sidera’s ‘outside the box’
approach to networking, which has proven to enhance our clients’ business
performance. COMPTEL PLUS
provides an effective forum that creates opportunities for the industry to
share best practices. We’re looking forward to sharing our ideas and learning
from our peers,” said Dorco.
Sidera Networks recently announced it will further expand its
network in Bristol County, Massachusetts to support OSHEAN’s mission to provide
colleges and universities with dedicated fiber connectivity to advance the
collaboration and performance of key classroom applications.
Earlier this year, OSHEAN, a nonprofit coalition of
universities, hospitals and government agencies dedicated to providing
technology solutions for its member institutions, selected Sidera for its
network project spanning from Rhode Island into Massachusetts.
