NEC and EnabledWare announced that they
are jointly showcasing a new video collaboration platform for blended learning
solutions at EDUCAUSE 2011.
Blended learning programs are emerging as essential tools for higher
educational organizations to expand reach and increase competitive position.
Engaging students in virtual learning can be a difficult challenge for
universities wishing to build on their enrollment without diluting their brand.
While online programs are no substitute for brick-and-mortar
institutions, the implementation of new hybrid media models can dramatically
improve student engagement and provide cost-effective learning solutions.
“EnabledWare’s integration of local servers and cloud computing provides
an easy, scalable, cost-effective way to engage students with media and enhance
the learning experience,” said Sydney Burton, senior education markets manager,
NEC.
After 18 months of consultation with top leaders in education worldwide,
EnabledWare has developed powerful new tools designed to transform the learning
experience.
“I am very proud of what our engineering team has been able to
accomplish, and I feel that we are addressing a major void in higher education.
With these new solutions, we have applied emerging technologies to
student-teacher interactions in order to deliver on the true promise of blended
learning,” said Sean Tabatabai, CEO EnabledWare.
