Huawei Symantec to showcase storage and security products at INTEROP Mumbai 2011

 

Huawei Symantec, a provider of network
security and storage solutions to enterprise customers worldwide, announced its
participation at
INTEROP, being held
in Mumbai from September 28-30, 2011.

 

At INTEROP, Huawei Symantec will be
showcasing its offerings for enterprise customers in India including the
Oceanspace
T-Series, a family of disk storage systems equipped
with the power, speed, and agility needed in core data center storage
applications such as storage consolidation and remote replication for disaster
recovery.

 

The T-Series products can meet the
requirements of high performance computing like digital media, Internet service
providers, backup applications, disaster recovery, data migration, and
large-scale database applications such as On-Line Transaction and Processing.

 

Designed for mid-to-large scale enterprises,
the T-Series family of storage systems comprises of four models: Oceanspace
S5500T – Up to 288 SSDs / SAS, or SATA HDDs, Oceanspace S5600T – Up to 576 SSDs
/ SAS, SATA or FC HDDs, Oceanspace S5800T – Up to 1,152 SSDs / SAS, SATA or FC
HDDs and Oceanspace S6800T Up to 1,440 SSDs / SAS, SATA or FC HDD.

Huawei recently announced its partnership
with Aero2, Poland’s mobile broadband operator, to launch the world’s first LTE
TDD/FDD converged commercial telecom network.

 

Leveraging Huawei’s innovative SingleRAN LTE solution,
the LTE TDD/FDD network will be the fastest mobile network in Poland, boosting
high-speed mobile internet access with downlink data speeds of 134Mb/s and
uplink speeds of 124.8Mb/s.
