Swisscom has selected iWedia Teatro-3.5 software solution to operate its TV 2.0 Android IPTV STB and manage its first screen offering.

To deliver content live and on demand, the company integrated Teatro-3.5 with Verimatrix VCAS for IPTV Conditional Access System as well as with Verimatrix VCAS for Internet TV and Microsoft PlayReady Digital Right Management systems.

Swisscom TV 2.0 box gives access to 250+ TV channels (of which 80+ are in HD), over 6400 videos on demand (in German, French, and Italian languages), more than 5000 live sport events per year, and provides 7-day catch-up services on almost all channels.

All these TV features are complemented by the access to an application store proposing more than 50 popular Android apps.
