Ooyala appoints Ramesh Srinivasan as CEO

Ooyala CEO Ramesh Srinivasan
Ooyala, a video publishing, analytics and monetization company, has appointed Ramesh Srinivasan as chief executive officer (CEO).

Srinivasan succeeds Jay Fulcher, who led Ooyala overseeing a six-year period of growth.

Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Ooyala is a subsidiary of Telstra.

Most recently, Srinivasan was the president and CEO at Innotrac, an ecommerce fulfillment provider doing business throughout the United States. Srinivasan oversaw Innotrac’s recent merger with eBay Enterprise.

Prior to that, Srinivasan was president and CEO of Bally Technologies that grew from $500 million in 2005 to $1.2 billion in 2014 under his leadership. Srinivasan also executed and integrated the largest acquisition for the company to date, buying SHFL Entertainment for $1.4 billion.

Charlotte Yarkoni, president of Telstra Software Group and vice chairman of Ooyala, said: “Bringing him on as CEO at this juncture in Ooyala’s journey strengthens the company’s leadership team in areas that are key to our long-term success as a leader in personalized cloud television and video.”
