Telecom Lead Asia: Global mobile satellite communications services provider Inmarsat has appointed Navin Kapila as its managing director for India.
Inmarsat considers India as a major market for the company. India presents an exciting market for the company. “We look forward to developing opportunities which will benefit the universal rollout of telecoms infrastructure to users throughout the country,” said Rupert Pearce, CEO of Inmarsat.
Before joining Inmarsat, Navin held senior positions within the Indian Government’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and senior executive posts with ICO Global, a global telecommunications company.
Navin currently serves as a non-executive board member of Telkom South Africa and an International Telecommunications Union (ITU) special adviser for emergency communications.
“I am delighted that Navin is joining Inmarsat and will assume this position for us,” Pearce added.
