Etisalat brings internet speed of 500Mbps for e-Life services

Middle East telecom operator Etisalat on Sunday said it introduced internet speed of 500Mbps for its e-Life services surpassing its own earlier record of 300Mbps.

Announced at Gitex Technology Week 2013, Etisalat e-Life services will position it as a market leader in delivering innovative technology solutions. Available to its double and triple play e-Life customers, the new speed will transform users Internet experience, allowing access to content, gaming, video streaming, social media and downloads.

Etisalat has partnered with the Ministry of Education for Duroosi Video launch and Google will host videos through YouTube.

Internet search engine giant Google will be providing a dedicated YouTube channel and enabling learning through social media tools.

Smart education is a key priority for the Middle East government and advanced infrastructure will play a critical role in the achievement of this mission.

“Harnessing the latest technology for education is an innovative approach towards knowledge building in the UAE. Duroosi will revolutionise conventional education tools by providing instant and convenient options of learning. Students with access to technology nowadays want information at their fingertips,” said Saleh Al Abdooli, CEO of Etisalat UAE.

Meanwhile, the telecom major also joined hands with SAP to deliver m-Government solutions and services.
