Cable TV firm Den Networks to offer broadband, hires Yugal Sharma from Tikona

Cable TV distribution firm Den Networks, which is planning to enter broadband business, has appointed Yugal Sharma as president, Broadband. He joins Den from Tikona.

Responsible for Den Networks’ broadband internet business, Yugal will be reporting to its CEO SN Sharma.

Den Networks has already carried out tests on DOCSIS 3.0 platforms and achieved speeds of 100 Mbps in controlled conditions which is far higher than what most broadband platforms are able to offer today.

The company now plans to take broadband across its digital subscriber base and offer consumers high speed data experience, Den Networks said on Monday.
