Alcatel-Lucent appoints Tim Krause as CMO

Telecom equipment vendor Alcatel-Lucent has appointed Tim Krause as chief marketing officer.

Before the new role, Tim Krause served as senior vice president, in charge of the AT&T customer team.

The new appointment is effective January 1, 2014, said Alcatel-Lucent in a statement.

Tim Krause will report to Alcatel-Lucent CEO Michel Combes and will be a member of the company’s leadership team.

Tim Krause will be responsible for marketing efforts as well as external communications. He will also lead Alcatel-Lucent’s diversification strategy and the development of its business in five segments:  cable, webscale, large technical enterprises, strategic industries and government driven broadband initiatives.
