# £1,500 special bonus for frontline colleagues and key workers
# To pay £1,000 in cash and £500 in shares after 3-years
# Equates to a bonus of 5 percent of average front line salary in the UK

This offer is equivalent to about 5 percent of the average salary. It is being made despite BT freezing pay across the company and ongoing, unresolved discussions with the trade unions over its transformation and modernisation plans.

BT chief executive officer Philip Jansen said: “Our frontline colleagues and key workers have been true heroes, keeping everyone connected in this most difficult time. We will do everything in our power to reward our frontline colleagues.”

There will be no change to BT’s full year financial outlook as a result of this team member bonus payment.
