Focusing on growth, TE appoints new Sr. vice president to lead China business

Telecom Lead Asia: In order to accelerate growth and
strengthen position in the Chinese market, TE Connectivity has
appointed Jenny Wang as senior vice president of TE Connectivity in
China.

 Jenny will be leading the company’s business and acceleration
in China, serving as TE’s executive leader in China.

She will report to Joe Donahue, TE’s executive vice
president and chief operating officer.

“Jenny’s outstanding track record will help us
strengthen and accelerate our leadership position in China. Our businesses
are aggressively expanding in China to address the country’s rapidly
growing infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, communications, and
transportation needs. Jenny’s experience in the region and proven ability to
drive growth in China will ensure we achieve our growth goals and
realize greater efficiencies by leveraging our scale,” said Joe Donahue.

The company’s China business accounts for approximately
15 percent of the Company’s total revenue with over $2 billion in
annual sales.

With 23 years of business experience in China, the
company claims that it has a significant and growing footprint in the country,
with more than 33,000 employees, 17 manufacturing sites and sales offices in 14
cities.

Most recrntly, Jenny was looking after Asia
Pacific business of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as VP of investment
and business development.

TE Connectivity closes acquisition of Deutsch Group SAS

Recently, TE Connectivity completed the acquisition of
Deutsch Group SAS. The acquisition will significantly expand TE’s product
portfolio.

Furthermore, the acquisition will enable the Company to
better serve customers in the Industrial and Commercial Transportation,
Aerospace and Defense, and Rail markets.
