Airtel 4G covers 297 towns and 35,674 villages in Rajasthan

Bharti Airtel announced that its 4G network covers 297 towns and 35,674 villages across Rajasthan.

Airtel is the #1 mobile operator in Rajasthan with over 23.35 million customers. Vodafone Idea has 18.75 million mobile phone customers in Rajasthan. The number of mobile phone customers for Reliance Jio is 18.45 million. BSNL has 5.69 lakh customers in the Rajasthan telecom circle.

Airtel SIM is available in 70,000 plus retail outlets in Rajasthan. Airtel’s mobile network now covers approximately 96 percent of the population in Rajasthan.

Airtel’s mobile network coverage reached remote locations like Myajlar-Jaisalmer, Jaisindhar Station-Barmer, Lagtala–Jaisalmer, 20BD-Bikaner.

Airtel plans to roll out 5,000 plus new mobile sites across the region in FY 2019-20 with the aim of stepping up network capacity. This rollout will effectively translate to deployment of five new Airtel mobile sites per day across Rajasthan.

The number of Airtel’s mobile sites across Rajasthan will go up by 20 percent. Airtel also plans to deploy 600 km of fresh optic fiber in the region to take its fiber footprint to 21,200 km.

The investment in fiber capacity expansion will support the growth of high-speed data services on its 2G, 3G and 4G platforms in Rajasthan.
