Airtel, which offers the fastest network in India, has deployed the LTE 900 technology in Mumbai to enhance experience for its smartphone customers.
The investment in 900 MHz spectrum band will enable Airtel to offer more data capacity to its customers. Airtel smartphone customers will receive 4G inside buildings – homes, offices and malls.

Airtel uses 2300 Mhz (TD LTE), 1800 Mhz (FD LTE), and 900 Mhz (LTE 900) to offer 4G services to customers in Mumbai. Airtel has deployed advanced network technologies and tools such as pre-5G Massive MIMO and 4G Advanced Carrier Aggregation to step up its network capacity and coverage.
Airtel has over 8.4 million customers in Mumbai. Recently, the company announced that it will expand its network in Mumbai by adding 7,000 new mobile broadband sites and 400 kms of optic fiber during fiscal 2018-19.
