Bambu Wireless will use the capacity for broadband, maritime, and government services across the Philippines’ 6,000 inhabited islands.

Bambu Wireless will leverage Ku-band capacity on EUTELSAT 172B to offer connectivity solutions for education, healthcare, agriculture and logistics across the country’s three island groups – Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao – that stretch over 1,850 kilometres.

Simeon Sander III Dela Cruz, CEO of Bambu Wireless, said: “This agreement will allow us to benefit from EUTELSAT 172B’s coverage of the Pacific to bring better Internet and VoIP services.”

Jean-Francois Fenech, CEO of Eutelsat Asia, said Bambu Wireless is the company’s first Philippines customer.
