ISP Summit 2017 for Indian broadband operators

Huawei digital visionIndia has more than hundred Internet Service Providers (ISPs) across the country connecting the broadband dreams of 100 crore plus Indians.

ISPs customers rely on wireless, DSL, dial-up, LAN, Cable Modem, Fibre and Leased Line to connect their computers or smartphones to Internet.

Huawei, a leading technology company, said its mission in the ISP sector is to help the internet industry transform.

Huawei will host its South East Asia ISP Summit 2017 themed with “Leading New ISP, the Road to Cloud Transformation” on 11 August 2017 in Bangalore, India.

Huawei will showcase its technological evolution to customers and partners, as well as new service opportunities in the transformation of ISPs.

India Internet market

India has 422.19 million internet subscribers including 21.58 million wired Internet subscribers and 400.62 million wireless Internet subscribers.

The number of broadband subscribers is 276.52 million.

Maharashtra with 35.94 million, Tamil Nadu with 32.32 million, Andhra Pradesh with 31.80 million, U.P.(E) with 28.58 million and Gujarat with 27.3 million are the top telecom circles in India in terms of Internet subscriptions.

BSNL has 61.06 percent market share with 13.17 million wired Internet subscribers. Bharti Airtel has 2.08 million subscribers.

Reliance Jio has 27.13 percent market share with 108.68 million wireless Internet subscribers. Bharti Airtel has 85.32 million wireless internet subscribers.
