By Telecom Lead Team: RADCOM, a service assurance
provider, has expanded its RADCOM Omni-Q solution with the launch of its voice
over LTE (VoLTE) service assurance in its Omni-Q solution.
This expansion to RADCOM’s Omni-Q solution enables
operators to monitor both VoLTE and Circuit Switch Fallback (CSFB)
architectures for voice and SMS services over LTE networks.
“With the acceleration of VoLTE testing and
deployment, it’s becoming ever more important for service providers to have an
LTE monitoring solution to support both data and voice,” said Eyal
Harari, RADCOM‘s VP
Products and Marketing.
The new VoLTE solution uses RADCOM’s IMS Monitoring
Solution, making use of the fully correlated end-to-end session-based SIP
signaling analysis and voice quality measurements based on RTP protocol
analysis such as Mean Opinion Score (MOS). Integrated active testing provides
additional measurements, such as Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality
(PESQ).
The addition of advanced VoLTE quality monitoring means
that service providers can use one monitoring system for current and emerging
services over the LTE network, making the Omni-Q a future-proof solution,” Eyal
Harari added.
RADCOM’s Omni-Q solution provides tools for root cause
analysis, making it ideal for data and voice quality assurance on LTE networks.
Furthermore, its scalable end-to-end monitoring solution,
with full correlation between all protocols, on one system for all
technologies, LTE, VoLTE, UMTS and CDMA, gives service providers a holistic
view of the customer’s experience across services and technologies.
Last year, RADCOM
received additional orders totaling approximately $6.5 million from one of
Latin America’s major multinational mobile telecommunications groups. These
orders were placed by several of the group’s regional operators.
