Telecom network operator Verizon has named EMC veteran Vic Bhagat as chief information officer (CIO) of Verizon Enterprise Solutions.
Vic Bhagat will drive technology strategy and align IT with corporate objectives across Verizon Enterprise Solutions. Vic Bhagat will focus on bringing efficiency to the enterprise unit. In addition, Vic Bhagat’s team will deliver integrated enterprise communications solutions.
Vic Bhagat most recently served as the executive vice president and CIO for EMC, responsible for leading its IT transformation and overseeing their centers of excellence that led to the delivery of IT as a service. He provided leadership for EMC’s technology support to optimize enterprise processes and enable global sales.
Prior to EMC, Vic Bhagat served at GE for more than 20 years as CIO for organizations such as GE Aviation Services, GE Global Growth and Operations, CNBC, GE Corporate, and GE India and Southeast Asia.
