Comcast announces two leadership changes

Comcast investmentComcast Cable today announced two leadership changes that will assist the company to look for new products and customer retention.

Comcast Cable has promoted Tony Werner to president, Technology and Product, and Sree Kotay to chief technology officer.

Under the leadership of Tony Werner, the Technology and Product team leads the design and development of Comcast’s products, including the X1 Entertainment Operating System, second-screen apps, and home Internet and Wi-Fi, software development, systems engineering, next-generation access networks, cloud computing, technical operations and R&D.

Sree Kotay, Comcast’s new chief technology officer, joined Comcast in 2007 as chief software architect leading software strategy, including the development of software and apps for X1 and other key products.

Sree Kotay will be leading Comcast’s software and technology strategy, particularly as it relates to new customer-facing products and services, including advanced video and Internet. Sree Kotay will also now oversee Comcast Innovation Labs.
